OK, so perhaps I’ve been hiding a bit behind my books.
But it’s been coming to my attention that my lack of a web presence could be a bit of a hindrance. And when I went back and uploaded all of my old Blogger posts to this new account, and read over some old Nerd Tourism adventures, I have to admit, I got rather nostalgic. Not that I’m wanting for things to do… far from it. But I believe some fellow or another said something about the unexamined life not being worth living, so, like Sister Act 2, I’m back in the habit.
There’s so much to catch up on. I’m two years into my career at the University of Southern California’s Norris Medical Library, and I don’t hesitate to say that that 3,000 mile move was the best thing that ever happened to me. I won’t even attempt to update all that’s happened in the last few years, but I suspect those details will trickle out amidst new updates until we’re just about up to speed.
These next few months are a whirlwind of lectures, conferences, and travel. I plan to document all of that, and go back a little ways and document some of my better Nerd Tourism adventures in California that have been missed in the two-year hiatus of my blogging.
For those few who will stumble upon this blog, welcome. It feels good to be back.
